The Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League is a summer swim league composted of community and subdivision swim teams in the Southwest Houston Area including Alief, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Meadows, Mission Bend, Stafford, Houston and Richmond, Texas.
The SHRSL was organized to consolidate local swim teams, to standardize swim team rules and to foster competition through the divsions of teams of equal size and strength.
For swimmers age 4-18 years of age, a strong emphasis is placed on strenghening of swimming skills, sportsmanship, safety, and promoting fun through a competitive summer swimming programs.

SHRSL teams range anywhere from 75-200 swimmers in size and are assigned to 6-7 divisions based on their team enrollment and past performance enabling them to compete in a more equitable environment. Each division competes weekly to determine a division champion. An All Star meet is conducted at the end of the season in July wiht swimmers competing from each division.
A volunteer board of directors formulate rules, enfore rules and bylaws, assign the divisions, conduct fiscal operations, and conduct league meetings consisting of representatives from each team.
